Rump & Wade Brasserie

Stevenage

In the heart of Stevenage, there stands a bustling and refined British Brasserie, The Rump&Wade. The restaurant is situated in a 356-year-old building, steeped in history and charm. The original structure had been built in 1667 by an associate of Oliver Cromwell, the prominent historical figure whose legacy formed an integral part of the building’s story.

To pay homage to the building’s rich history, we decided to adorn the walls and ceilings with quirky historical pictures and bespoke wallpapers brought up-to-date with contemporary detailing, transporting guests to a bygone era.

We collaborated with artist Andy Tuoy, who meticulously crafted nine artworks of Oliver Cromwell and other prominent historical figures from that era that have been strategically placed in the dining room creating a focal point that captivates the attention of diners.

Soft purples, browns, and woods became the key hues that permeated the establishment. These colours exuded warmth, sophistication, and a connection to nature, enhancing the overall dining experience. In addition we also focused on creating a cohesive brand identity that extended to the staff uniforms and menu design.
