Rump & Wade Brasserie

The Rump & Wade is an all-day dining destination situated in the heart of Stevenage. YesFoundry were invited to revitalise the building dating back to the Oliver Cromwell era. Whilst preserving original features such as a 356 year old stone fireplace we introduced contemporary materials, bespoke images and wallpaper throughout.

While paying homage to the building’s history, we infused the space with modern elegance. This was achieved through sleek furniture pieces, clean lines, and refined finishes. Contemporary lighting fixtures with sleek brass accents and stylish chandeliers were incorporated to add a touch of glamour to the space, balancing the traditional elements with a contemporary twist.

To create a warm and inviting atmosphere, we carefully selected a colour palette of purples and rich browns. Deep shades of purple evoke a sense of luxury and sophistication, while the rich browns add warmth and depth to the space.

Creating a comfortable dining experience was paramount. We selected plush seating options upholstered in luxurious fabrics in shades of purple, brown, or complementary neutrals. Deep-buttoned leather or velvet banquettes, cushioned armchairs, and comfortable dining chairs were carefully placed to maximise comfort and ensure that guests feel relaxed and pampered.
