Pen & Cob Brasserie

YesFoundry were invited to design and develop the brand identity for The Pen & Cob a modern sleek brasserie in Bedford located in The Bedford Swan Hotel. We embarked on a creative journey to develop a brand identity that would capture the spirit of Pen & CoB, beginning by crafting a distinctive name derived from male and female swans, known as pens and cobs respectively. This name perfectly encapsulated the elegance and balance that the brasserie aimed to achieve. A modern logo was created graphically depicting two swans meeting in flight evoking a sense of timeless charm, reminiscent of a bygone era.

The brand identity extended to the staff uniforms, menus, website and promotional literature which were meticulously designed to align with the restaurant’s aesthetic. We created a uniform featuring a tailored apron that blends comfort and style. The sharp green color palette, combined with gold and cream accents, was inspired by the interior design of the restaurant itself. These colors exuded sophistication and elegance, reflecting the ambiance that awaited guests within.
