Dury Road Heritage

YesFoundry were invited to design the interior of a former nursing home into a set of 7 apartments over two floors located in fashionable Hadley Wood. Our aim was to balance between preserving the building’s Edwardian features and incorporating modern elements throughout. Cornicing, dado rails, and beading were incorporated throughout the apartments, honoring the original character and adding a touch of elegance and sophistication. To create a contemporary and stylish ambiance, a palette of warm greys was chosen as the base color scheme.

To add warmth and texture, high-quality wood flooring was used throughout the apartments, providing a cozy and inviting feel. Marble floors were introduced in select areas, such as entryways or bathrooms, to elevate the luxurious aesthetic and create a sense of grandeur. The end result was a set of high-spec contemporary apartments that honored the building’s Edwardian heritage while offering residents a sophisticated and comfortable stay.
